From the moment I contacted Philippa with regard to having a Flyhart Puppy (I have long admired Philippa's dogs) I was then kept updated with the news of the Dams progress, from being mated right through to the litter being born. I was sent photo's and e-mails of Mum and Babies, then a date was made for me and hubby to visit. We were made extremely welcome by Philippa and her family, AND by all of her very happy, friendly dogs. The puppies were in a super large playpen in the house, all very content and gorgeous. Their Mum was such a happy and friendly girl, we made our choice of puppy - a super little boy - and again we were sent photo's and e-mails of his progress. Any questions we asked were answered completely to our satisfaction.
The day at last came to fetch him home and after another warm welcome in the Flyhart house and then a 2 hour journey our boy came into our home, had a wander around to climatise to the new smells etc and was completely at ease with everything. He was introduced to our other Shepherd and our Lowchen, completely at ease with them, took to his crate immediately - only had one or two whimpers on the first night - thereafter he settled extremely well, and always asked to go out during the night, i never had any puddles.
He was truly delightful as a puppy, very easy to teach, quick to learn, was very well habituated to household sights, smells and comings and goings thanks to the start that Philippa had given the litter. He is still only a baby at 7 1/2 months old and is an absolute joy, delightful to live with, very much admired and absolutely adored by us. Philippa is always very interested in how he is getting on, and I know she is always there if i need any advice or have any worries and I in turn am extremely proud of my Flyhart boy.

We found Flyhart GSDs by searching through all of our GSD friends and their friends and were looking for pups born around March/April time as the spring and summer are such perfect times to raise a young dog. We were lucky enough to find Philippa Tuck. As a breeder we have never, ever been so well informed and had such a wonderful person to speak with regarding progress and day to week updates. We had direct access to her through all of the weeks up until the rehome and then continual support to this very day. We were able to see both of our pups "parents" and also the pup with mum and other littermates. "Flyhart Blue Rumour" (Kona) is our little girl and one very VERY special little girl, because she is not only ours, but also has brought us into the extended family which is Flyhart German Shepherd Owners.
I will always come to (our now good friend) Philippa Tuck before going anywhere else for a dog when we are ready again, and if it's not a Flyhart GSD, it will be one that Philippa Tuck recommends.
You may just be as lucky to have a Flyhart GSD as us!
Many, many thanks Philippa!

Our experience of getting a flyhart puppy was wonderful, we were made very welcome, any questions we asked were answered honestly and were never to much trouble. We were able to see all the dogs as they all lived in the house with the family which was great to see. The dogs were all very friendly and in fabulous condition. When the puppies arrived we were kept informed with info and brilliant pictures of their progress, when we went to choose our puppy we had as much time as we wanted to choose and a cuddle of them all, whilst having a welcome cup of tea! The puppies were all clean and sturdy and of many colours.
When the time came for us to take our puppy home, he had been micro chipped, he travellled well in the car and came in to meet our 10 year old shepherd with no fear at all, he was very confident and nothing bothered him, within a couple of days of having him, it was like he had lived here forever.
The aftercare service from flyhart was great, any questions or problems we were told to just ring at any time.
We are going to add another puppy to our family next year and i would not get my puppy from anywhere else.

Flyhart Buffy – aka Missy Mischief
After having a bad experience with a German shepherd puppy that almost drove my family apart I was determined to find the right breeder and puppy for my family, I wasn’t going to let my bad experience ruin the fond memories I have as a child growing up with German Shepherds, the same experiences I want for my own two boys to enjoy.
I felt the time was right to start looking for a breeder and was overjoyed to find a kennel club accredited breeder less than a mile from my home, I was keen to hear that Philippa had just had a litter, but really disappointed that all the puppies had been reserved. Needless to say that when she called me back a week later to say there had been a change I was over the moon!!
When I went to visit, I explained to Philippa about the previous dog, and she reassured me that she breeds her dogs for their temperament and good nature. I could see from visiting that Philippa truly adored each and every one of the dogs in her care, whether they were a puppy, juvenile or adult.
It was reassuring to see all the paperwork associated with the puppy on my visit, it was obvious that Philippa had put a lot of hard work and time into not only producing and caring for the dogs but also on ensuring they were receiving the best start to life. Philippa had put together a lovely information pack and contract of sale, it was apparent that she was keen to make sure the puppy was going to continue to receive the same level of care once she had departed Phillippa.
So we took the puppy home, and it quickly became apparent that Missy (mischief) was a very apt name for her. The best part had to be my oldest sons face when he answered the door to me holding the little bundle of fluff! Missy has grown not only in size but in character, she is an intelligent, bubbly part of our family, my youngest son (21 months) can say three phrases, “yes please” “thank you” and “missy” – we are still waiting for Mum or Dad!!!
Missy is now experiencing the entire outside world, on walks and at our new home, she is definitely part of the family, she has totally wrecked the kids paddling pool, but what a laugh it was watching her racing around jumping in and out. She is also very fond of the hose pipe and spends most days soaked wet through!!
I have spoken to Philippa since I took Missy home, she has been really helpful and I know I could text her, email her or call her any time, as many times as needed and she wouldn’t mind.
I think the best testament to Philippa was when I took Missy to the vets last week for her injection, the vet asked if Missy was a dog bred by Philippa, and said Philippa breeds the nicest German Shepherds he had ever seen, that they were so level headed, and that Philippa was a very conscientious breeder whom he felt put a lot of dedication in to her dogs.
His words made me so reassured, and I really want to echo these, I have recommended Philippa to lots of people already, and would recommend her again and again. I’m a very proud owner of a Flyhart dog, and currently trying to pursue my husband into us getting a second dog!!!!
